Scott Bates, chair of NSN Connecticut, trumpets progressive National Security approaches in The Constitution State. Mr. Bates, also of the Center for National Policy, continues to actively engage public media and community leaders on critical Foreign Policy issues including terrorism in Pakistan and oppression in Burma. Bates appears regularly on WVIT-30 NBC’s “Connecticut Newsmakers” and WTXX Fox’s Inside the Headlines” and is a monthly guest on various radio stations including WATR, WTIC, WDRC, WXLM, and WICC. Three opinion pieces by Mr. Bates have been published in five newspapers including the New London Day, the Connecticut Post, the Waterbury Republican, the Norwich Bulletin, and the Journal Inquirer.
In addition to his media presence, Mr. Bates has also addressed many Civic Organizations including the Southeastern Connecticut Committee on Foreign relations and the Rotary clubs of Stonington and Mystic. Scott is currently coordinating details with NSN headquarters in Washington DC to host two speakers during the 2008 election cycle in New London and New Britain.
