Iowa 14 May 2008

NSN's work in Iowa this summer and fall will serve NSN’s core mission to help promote progressive approaches to national security and foreign policy. NSN has partnered with two of Iowa’s major universities and two of its most respected liberal arts colleges to coordinate a visiting speaker series. Four to five NSN experts will travel throughout Iowa beginning in late summer to address university and community audiences on a coordinated set of themes, each centered on the most significant challenges that the United States faces to its security and other critical national interests. Also, Iowa NSN members are planning a program of outreach to politically-independent local opinion leaders (in particular in service clubs).
