Press Release Washington, D.C. 24 March 2011

The National Security Network today announced Sara DuBois, political consultant and communications strategist, will become NSN's Interim Communications Director.  DuBois will lead NSN communications, oversee outreach to political partners and manage press relations with its network of security and foreign policy experts.  Press Assistant Jake Stokes retains the new media portfolio and moves over to a full-time policy role.

"Sara brings exactly the combination of media, political strategy and advocacy community experience to add depth to NSN's role as a nexus among those communities," says NSN Executive Director Heather Hurlburt. "We are thrilled to add her energy and focus as we expand to connect to Americans who seek a 21st-century national security policy that is based on courage, pragmatism and common values, not fear."

DuBois brings to the role extensive experience in the political and advocacy community. She comes to NSN most recently from Message Global, LLC, where she oversaw political and messaging strategy for U.S. advocacy initiatives to improve health and development globally.
