Development Strategy Fellowship with NSN

Summer 2014

The National Security Network is currently seeking a public policy or business graduate school fellow for a special position working on the organization’s development strategy.   The fellowship has flexible dates, but is expected to run from May/June through August/September 2014. The fellow will take part in a review of current fundraising practices and goals and will help research possible donors (foundation, corporate, individual) and craft achievable targets and effective organizational presentation to achieve those targets.

This fellow will have the opportunity to interact with NSN’s Board of Directors and gain hands on development and management experience.

Responsibilities of the position will include (but are not limited to):

  • Observing and understanding NSN’s role in the non-profit foreign policy community
  • Assessing the potential funding opportunities in the field and their relevance to NSN
  • Reviewing and evaluating NSN’s current development practices
